Our baby boy is an eating machine. It seems like he eats, stops, gets burped, eats some more, stops, gets burped, rinse and repeat. This is a change for the better, though, since he was dehydrated after we brought him home from the hospital. Thankfully, our first pediatrician visit was the day after we left the hospital. They told us to supplement his eating with formula, which we really only had to do for a day. Now, he's a pooing, peeing, eating, sleeping machine!
Of the funnier variety of things to happen, Evan has twice dirtied a diaper in a thunderous manner, stopping all conversation in the room momentarily prior to uproarious laughter. We have learned that he's a big fan of lying on our chests, and this puts him right to sleep. He doesn't seem to like to stay on his back, and he definitely doesn't like it on hard surfaces (firm mattresses, floors, etc). He's got to be in a nice food coma prior to sleeping, which is a little difficult, but really not too bad. Of course, this coming from the person who is NOT breastfeeding him. Mommy might have something different to say on the matter.
That's all for now. A quick update on his eleventh day of life. We're getting our rhythm, and he's a very good boy!
